CSS H1 tag issue

We just updated one of our sites to Joomla 1.5.26. After updating to the most recent version, our article titles reverted back to h2 tags. Looking in the template/html/com_content/article/view/default.php all of the changes for h1 tags are still there as they were before. I have even tried uploading a new template and still the same. I have added h1 tags in front of the core componentheading classes as well and still nothing. Is there any changelog available that shows what it was that was changed so I can figure out why this site is behaving as it is?

Caching enabled kills category list layout filter feature

With the latest Joomla! 1.5.26 the "filter" feature utilized on the "cateogry list layout" view, fails when the site caching is enabled under global configuration. The result of submitting a "refine search" (filter) is a refresh of the page listing all articles within the category instead of the expected filtered result. This bug does not affect the v2.5 track.

Hello, This is my first post so I apologize in advance for my non existing experience. I have several websites (domain and hosting in Godaddy). I've been having a lot of problems, but basically it changes the HTML code. One simple example is that when I use the tag it changes to but it adds automatically a
tag. I had problems with all the the Joomla versions I used, 1.6.3; 1.7 ; 2.5.4; etc. How can I help solve the bug?

This issue has been reported in the CMS for J2.5.x under #25170, This issue also effects J1.5.26. Test Instructions: Set Search Engine Friendly URLs to ON, enable System Cache plug-in, show page index.php/using-joomla/extensions on sample data, refresh (to load from cache) Summary: Content pictures aren't displaying if SEF is on and System Cache plugin is enabled Details: If SEF is on and System Cache plug-in is enabled together, then content pictures aren't displaying. Possible Fix I assume The Fix applied to the SVN for J2.5 CMS might work for J1.5.x

Adding new article on the fronend will give the category 'Uncategorized'
When adding a new article at the fronend of the website, that category will alway be 'uncategorized'even when I select an other category.

SSL makes any account login to loop.
When enabled inside the configuration file, the "Force SSL" to any option, it makes any login attempt (backend and frontend) to loop. Repro Steps : #1 Enable SSL inside configuration.php (line 41) use the option "2" for entire site. #2 Try to login in the frontend and backend. #3 Notice the loop. Quick note to dev : Since I have deactivated SSL, the site works like it should. Also, it's not my first website on this webserver, and I have upgraded 1.5.25 to 1.5.26 and I never got this issue before. Something is wrong with the SSL. -Nicolas Lapointe

JFile::getExt() returns filepath if the file has no extension
Hi, I use Joomla Libraries extensively, For getting extension of any file I use the function JFile::getExt($filepath);. If the destination file has no extension then this function should return null, but it returns the complete filepath. I figured out a solution also to this. genRandomPassword returns very low entropy value
`genRandomPassword` seeds its random generator with a 32 bit value. This implies that it can only return 2^32 different values, no matter how long the requested output is. This is hugely misleading once the output is longer than 6 characters, since more output characters don't increase security at all. The entropy sources seem pretty weak too. I recommend using some cryptographic PRNG with proper seeding. A mersenne twister isn't designed for security uses.

FYI The file "libraries\joomla\cache\storage\file.php" in J1.7.x contains a fonction called lock() (lines 242 till 280). The function use a fopen statement to open the cached file. This, without first checking if the file exists. On my development machine, Apache raise a warning in line 250 when the file doesn't exists. Proposed solution : just add a JFile::exists(). error.php file protections don't work properly with PHP's CGI mode
The protected added to the error log file appear to be ignored due to a bug in PHP's CGI binary. This effectively causes it not to function properly. Media Manager does not cope with blanks in folder names
If I have a folder with the name containing a blank, Media manager does not display the contents of the folder correctly but displays the contents of the root folder(for Media Manager) e.g. images/
