After updating to the most recent version, our article titles reverted back to h2 tags. Looking in the template/html/com_content/article/view/default.php all of the changes for h1 tags are still there as they were before. I have even tried uploading a new template and still the same. I have added h1 tags in front of the core componentheading classes as well and still nothing. Is there any changelog available that shows what it was that was changed so I can figure out why this site is behaving as it is?

This is my first post so I apologize in advance for my non existing experience.
I have several websites (domain and hosting in Godaddy). I've been having a lot of problems, but basically it changes the HTML code.
One simple example is that when I use the tag it changes to but it adds automatically a
tag.
I had problems with all the the Joomla versions I used, 1.6.3; 1.7 ; 2.5.4; etc.

How can I help solve the bug?

Summary:
Content pictures aren't displaying if SEF is on and System Cache plugin is enabled
Details:
If SEF is on and System Cache plug-in is enabled together, then content pictures
aren't displaying.

Possible Fix
I assume The Fix applied to the SVN for J2.5 CMS might work for J1.5.x

Repro Steps :

#1 Enable SSL inside configuration.php (line 41) use the option "2" for entire site.

#2 Try to login in the frontend and backend.

#3 Notice the loop.

Quick note to dev :

Since I have deactivated SSL, the site works like it should. Also, it's not my first website on this webserver, and I have upgraded 1.5.25 to 1.5.26 and I never got this issue before. Something is wrong with the SSL.

I use Joomla Libraries extensively, For getting extension of any file I use the function JFile::getExt($filepath);. If the destination file has no extension then this function should return null, but it returns the complete filepath.

This implies that it can only return 2^32 different values, no matter how long the requested output is. This is hugely misleading once the output is longer than 6 characters, since more output characters don't increase security at all.

The entropy sources seem pretty weak too. I recommend using some cryptographic PRNG with proper seeding. A mersenne twister isn't designed for security uses.

The file "libraries\joomla\cache\storage\file.php" in J1.7.x contains a fonction called lock() (lines 242 till 280). The function use a fopen statement to open the cached file. This, without first checking if the file exists.

On my development machine, Apache raise a warning in line 250 when the file doesn't exists.

Proposed solution : just add a JFile::exists().

Original code
-------------

public function lock($id, $group, $locktime){
   $returning = new stdClass;
   $returning->locklooped = false;

   $looptime 	= $locktime * 10;
   $path	= $this->_getFilePath($id, $group);

   $_fileopen = @fopen($path, "r+b");

   //Replace the line above with
   //   if (JFile::exists($path)) $_fileopen = @fopen($path, "r+b");

   if ($_fileopen) {
      $data_lock = @flock($_fileopen, LOCK_EX);
   } else {
      $data_lock = false;
   }

[...]
   return $returning;

ich bin bei der Programmierung meines Templates auf einen kleinen Fehler in der libraries/joomla/document/html/renderer/head.php gestoßen.

Mein Ziel war es bestimmte http-equiv Metatags einzupflegen, zB:

mittels:
$document->setMetaData('content-language', 'de-DE', true);
$document->setMetaData('imagetoolbar', 'no', true);

Leider kam das hier raus:
<meta http - equiv="content-language" content="de-DE; charset=utf-8" />
<meta http - equiv="imagetoolbar" content="no; charset=utf-8" />

Fehler in der head.php folgendermaßen behoben:
// Generate META tags (needs to happen as early as possible in the head)
foreach ($document->_metaTags as $type => $tag) {
    foreach ($tag as $name => $content) {
        if ($type == 'http - equiv') {
            if ($name == 'content-type') {$content.= '; charset=' . $document->getCharset();}
            $buffer .= $tab.'<meta http - equiv="'.$name.'" content="'.htmlspecialchars($content).'"'.$tagEnd.$lnEnd;
        }
        else if ($type == 'standard') {
            $buffer .= $tab.'<meta name="'.$name.'" content="'.htmlspecialchars($content).'"'.$tagEnd.$lnEnd;
        }
    }
}
